It started with a bowl of peaches and a cloud of fruit flies in an Austin kitchen. The existing "solutions" were ugly, loud, chemical-soaked, or required touching dead bugs. There had to be a better way.
Our founding team of engineers and designers spent months studying insect behavior and trap technology. The insight was simple: insects are attracted to UV light, and if you pair that with a quiet fan and a sticky surface, you get a clean, silent, contact-free trap that actually works.
We launched Katchy Original in 2019 with one goal — make a pest trap so well-designed that you'd actually want it on your counter. Today, more than 500,000 American homes trust Katchy to keep their spaces fly-free, and we've never stopped improving.
